Geena Davis has launched a campaign for gender equality in young people's television programming. Working under the See Jane organization, Davis has commissioned a study to assess the situation and has already began advocating for the cause.
'What is the message we're sending out to kids?'
"That boys' stories are more interesting, more prevalent and significant, and that girls are peripheral." While I think she's doing a good thing (as I'm all for equity), couldn't she direct that energy into something a little more productive than television? I'm clearly not a citizen of planet Earth.
